Art as Food as Art began with a question: how else can a recipe be visualized?

As someone who loves both painting and creating highly visual, carefully crafted baked goods, I was interested in the gap between the experience of making food and the way recipes are typically presented. While cooking and baking can be expressive, sensory, and creative, recipes are often reduced to measurements and instructions.

Through a hand-painted recipe book, custom aprons, painted typography, and a series of accompanying pieces, I explored how recipes might function as artworks in their own right. The project reimagines the recipe as a visual experience—one that communicates through color, texture, composition, and interpretation as much as through written instruction.

In my free time, I love creating elaborate dishes and capturing their beauty for my bake-stagram :)
